HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE! I hope you all had an amazing weekend and you're ready to have a great week! Hopefully this week will fly by and we can celebrate the 4th of July this Saturday! For some reason, I am really excited about the 4th this year! I'm not sure why because I definitely have to work majority of the day, but I guess I am looking forward to going over my mom's house and getting some barbeque and just being around family a little bit! Hopefully we don't get rained out.

Sorry I couldn't tag any of the items I had on in these pictures, but it's all old stuff and I couldn't find the links anywhere! There's similar things of course, but not the exact so I just left it alone. See, even though I failed my "No Shopping Challeneg", I've still been trying to just shop in my closet for things to wear before going to the mall! I've had this dress for about 3 years and I only had worn it once, so I thought why not? Progress is always a good thing people. I'm trying. :)

This was the dress I wore to my husband's awards banquet in St. Louis last weekend. The banquet had a vintage, 50's theme to it and although I don't think I nailed it (at all!), I think with my ruffles and huge pearls I might have come close! Some of the other wives looked super cute in their flapper dresses and headbands! I don't know why I didn't link 50's to headbands because I love those and that could have improved my look a little bit.

Anyway, I was super proud of my husband because he walked away with two distinguished awards and he was surprised himself. I see his hard work and his hustle everyday and so I'm glad he was recognized for that. Congratulations again my love!

Until next time! XOXO

About a year ago, I was getting ready to head out to LA for the BET Awards! When I tell ya'll I had an amazing time, that doesn't even begin to describe it! One of the best trips of my life and it was only for a weekend. I went to four different concerts, the BET awards, and an amazing after party. I felt like a celebrity all weekend.

LA is a beautiful city and my husband and I fell in love with it. We are really considering moving there at some point in our lives, but for now Hendersonville suits us just fine. The weather was just perfect all the time and with both of our career aspirations, we think that would be the perfect place for us to settle down. I'm looking forward to going back sometime this year to visit because the weekend was so packed with BET festivities, I didn't get a chance to be a tourist. I had been to LA once before when I was a kid, but it's a totally different experience when you're an adult!

Tell me guys, what are some places we should hit when we go back?!

Thank you for reading! XOXO

Shirt and Shorts: J.Crew Factory (Both sold out, Sorry!), Shoes: Tory Burch (30% off now!), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Purse: Kate Spade

This past weekend, my husband and I went to St.Louis because his job had a conference there. It rained every single day we were there EXCEPT Saturday and we were so excited to get out and do some site seeing!

Friday we went to the famous "Sweetie Pies" and oh my goodness the food smelled AMAZING! I'm so sad we decided to go by there after we had already eaten lunch. I can't wait to go back to St. Louis so I can try their food because I can't get that smell out of my head! They were also filming while we were there for the show, so that was pretty cool!

Saturday we went to the St. Louis arch and I was excited because I had been before, but couldn't go to the top of the arch because of high winds that day. Imagine my disappointment when we couldn't go to the top this time either because the tour was booked up until late in the afternoon and we had to get back to the hotel for my husband's awards banquet! SO SAD! We will definitely have to go back again and plan to go to the top of the arch because I know the view is probably amazing!

As most of you may know, yellow is my all-time favorite color so of course I had to pack this adorable yellow top from J.Crew for my trip. I was bummed when it kept raining because I was thinking it may be weird to wear yellow in the pouring down rain, but thankfully Saturday the sun was shining bright as ever and it was perfect for my outfit!

Hey guys! Guess what?! Kate Spade is having an awesome "Sale on Sale" right now! Anything on Kate Spade's website that is already on sale, if you enter the promo code SETSALE at checkout, you will get an additional 25% off from now through July 7th! I don't know about you guys, but there are quite a few things I have my eye on, so this sale excites me so much!

Okay guys... I have a confession to make....

I'm SO disappointed with myself, but I have shopped guys! Yes I did, I bought something. This challenge is REALLY hard.. much harder than I thought it would be! The crazy thing is, the first thing I thought about when I left the store..."Oh no! I failed my own challenge. Now I have to tell my readers!" It's really embarrassing guys!

I'm going to try again though! I really want to do this, but I think the next time I do it, there will be set rules and regulations and boundaries I cannot cross. I found myself trying to find different ways to get around my own challenge! How sad is that?! Hahaha

So, give me a couple days ya'll, I'm going to come up with a challenge for US (yes, you too!) to do and it will be completely straight forward with rules and regulations! This next time, we have to hold each other accountable. I need your support and I will support you. WE CAN DO IT!

Dress: Charming Charlie (Sold Out, but similar here)

White dresses are my FAVORITE. Actually, I think I just love white clothes period! I'm the one that doesn't care about the "No white after Labor Day" rule that people enforce. I think with my skin color, it just really works for me! This white off the shoulder dress is so stunning! I wore it to my Bridal Brunch the day before my wedding for the first time. It is so comfortable, but cute too.

Love & Laughter. All anyone ever really needs is love in one hand, and laughter in the other.
With you, I am complete because I have them both.
I decided that in honor of the ever so popular "Throw Back Thursday" on social media, I would translate it over to this blog and "throw it back" with you guys each week. Today's throw back is dedicated to laughter and when I think about laughter and who truly makes me laugh, my husband is the first person to come to mind. These pictures are from our engagement shoot last year and we had so much fun mainly because my adorable husband was making me laugh the entire time! YES, these laughs and smiles in these pics are 100% genuine. It was so hot that day and he made it so much fun. To most of the general public, let's just say he's pretty serious and always about his business. But with me? Oh, he is the sweetest, kindest, SILLIEST, big kid at heart, selfless man in the whole world and I couldn't feel more blessed.

You know how guys are, sometimes they don't want the world to know some of the silly things they do at home behind closed doors (I want to give examples so bad, but I know he will kill me haha), so you guys will just have to take my word for it! I swear my husband and I could have a reality TV show because our conversations and some of the silly things we do are just hilarious!
My advice? If you haven't already, find someone that truly makes you laugh. Seriously. Do you know how therapeutic laughter is? If you can laugh until it hurts every single day, you somehow feel better afterward than you did before. I'm not just speaking of a significant other. Find a best friend, family member, co-worker, anyone that can just make you laugh at least three times a day. I promise you will instantly be happier.

I would love to hear from you guys on who's your source of laughter and smiles. Drop me a comment below. :)

Shorts: J.Crew Factory (Sold Out!), Top: Forever 21 (It's old, but you can find something similar there), Sunglasses: Charming Charlie, Purse: Kate Spade, Sandals: Tory Burch (30% off at Nordstrom now!)

Other than my brown tall gladiator sandals, these Tory Burch beauties have been my go-to for the Spring thus far! They go with pretty much everything and they are so comfortable! Definitely a little pricey for sandals, but well worth it because I am getting my money's worth. I love when I get a chance to wear shorts and colorful clothing! At my job, we are only allowed to wear solid black or white pants and so whenever I get a chance to wear some fun floral shorts like these, I get excited! J.Crew Factory is my favorite place to find cute novelty shorts at an affordable price!

My Mom keeps asking me when I'm going to change my purse and feature a different one on here (I guess she's tired of my bright yellow bag haha), but this bag just makes me so happy! Yellow is my all-time favorite color and carrying it just brings the sunshine for me! It has rained a lot in Nashville here lately, so I always have my personal sunshine with me. Also, I stay so busy, I haven't really had the time to change my purse, but I will soon! I got a new one for my birthday that is beautiful! :)

Alright guys, until next time! XOXO

Summer Essentials

So Summer is only a couple days away and I've been thinking about some of the essentials I will need during the summer time! I know what you're thinking, "Jamaria isn't supposed to be shopping right now!" I KNOW GUYS! I am going to finish my "No Shopping Challenge", but just because I'm not shopping doesn't mean I can't window shop right?! RIGHT! :)

First of all, I am IN LOVE with this Kate Spade purse with the bow! A little fun fact about me, anything with a bow on it makes my heart smile! Hello Kitty is my GIRL because she wears a huge bow! And can we talk about how ADORABLE this pineapple phone case is?! I have to have it! Of course in the summer-time, every girl needs three types of sandals: Flat, Heel, and Wedge! Yes I just made that up, but I think it's totally true!

What's on your summer wish list?! Leave it in a comment below! :)

Thank you for reading! XOXO
