Black Ruffles with Sequins

Black Dress: Betsey Johnson, Pearl Necklace: Francesca's, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Bracelet: Kate Spade

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE! I hope you all had an amazing weekend and you're ready to have a great week! Hopefully this week will fly by and we can celebrate the 4th of July this Saturday! For some reason, I am really excited about the 4th this year! I'm not sure why because I definitely have to work majority of the day, but I guess I am looking forward to going over my mom's house and getting some barbeque and just being around family a little bit! Hopefully we don't get rained out.

Sorry I couldn't tag any of the items I had on in these pictures, but it's all old stuff and I couldn't find the links anywhere! There's similar things of course, but not the exact so I just left it alone. See, even though I failed my "No Shopping Challeneg", I've still been trying to just shop in my closet for things to wear before going to the mall! I've had this dress for about 3 years and I only had worn it once, so I thought why not? Progress is always a good thing people. I'm trying. :)

This was the dress I wore to my husband's awards banquet in St. Louis last weekend. The banquet had a vintage, 50's theme to it and although I don't think I nailed it (at all!), I think with my ruffles and huge pearls I might have come close! Some of the other wives looked super cute in their flapper dresses and headbands! I don't know why I didn't link 50's to headbands because I love those and that could have improved my look a little bit.

Anyway, I was super proud of my husband because he walked away with two distinguished awards and he was surprised himself. I see his hard work and his hustle everyday and so I'm glad he was recognized for that. Congratulations again my love!

Until next time! XOXO
