Happy Thursday beauties :)

I think I may have super powers or something because just a few days ago I was wishing SO HARD for Fall to make it's debut appearance. I mean, this past weekend, I swear it felt like 100 degrees outside! Now, all of a sudden, Fall is here in FULL FORCE and I am SO happy about it!

There is only one thing about Fall that I do not like and that is my allergies act up so bad. These last few days I have been sneezing like crazy, my nose has been stuffy and running, and my head just feels so full most of the time. However, this is nothing I can't handle because that doesn't change the fact that Fall is literally one of the best times ever.

I'm excited to finally break out all of my scarves, hats, boots, cardigans, and other fall staples and I can't wait to share some awesome content with you guys throughout this season and into winter. If you all have any ideas of what you want to see here on TJE, please let me know in the comments and I will do my best to execute it for you! :)

This post is featuring one of my all time favorite looks for fall. I really love these Lush tunics from Nordstrom (I have them in seriously about 6 colors) because they are so versatile. I can wear them with jeans, shorts, skirts, and leggings. I can add a scarf, vest, or cardigan and it still looks and feels amazing. They are SO comfortable and so are these jeans I got from Loxley Boutique. I'm not going to say too much bout them right now because soon I will have a whole post dedicated to my favorite jeans from Loxley, so stay tuned!

Thank you for reading! xo

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend like I did! I didn't get much rest, but I don't mind because I had a blast! Isn't it amazing how sleep becomes less of a priority when you're really enjoying yourself? Then, when you're doing something you don't want to do, you're extra sleepy and can't keep your eyes open. I always find the science of that fascinating. Anyway, let's talk about this past weekend, shall we?!

I was excited on Saturday because I was able to spend the day with my husband. Most weekends, he has shows that he plays at and normally if he has more than one, he will be tied up all night so I won't be able to see him. However, this past Saturday he had two shoes and they were both done before 4pm! I was so excited! To top it off, we ended up getting tickets to go to Kanye West's concert Saturday night and we had a great time.

Yesterday, unfortunately my hubby had to go out of town for work, but after I dropped him off at the airport I went shopping! I got some super cute new shoes that I am dying to show you guys (I will soon, promise) and new bedding for our bedroom. We have had the same bedding since we first moved in together in 2013 and I was just super ready for a different look! Y'all know how that can be sometimes. I'm hoping to update our room this afternoon and have everything together before he comes back home tomorrow.

Now, let's talk about this cute dress in my photo. I wore this outfit Saturday, trying my best to embrace "Fall vibes" because you know, it's Fall. However, mother nature had other plans honey because it felt like 100 degrees outside! After getting a couple cute photos in this look, I had to go home and change clothes QUICK before I had a hear stroke. I am seriously hoping for some real Fall weather VERY soon. I'm so tired of being hot!

Hey everyone! I am so excited today because it is officially my FAVORITE season!

That's right, yesterday was the first day of FALL and although it feels NOTHING like Fall outside here in Nashville (I mean seriously it's still like 90 degrees outside), I'm still extra pumped and ready to get into all of my favorite fall things! I don't know about y'all, but fall to me means holidays. I'm sure you guys are thinking "already Jam?!", but those of you who really know me know that this is right on time for me! I'm always in the holiday spirit early, but I'm not just talking about Christmas.

Fall brings SO many amazing things! I get to wear layers, but still feel cute. Y'all know when winter comes, all I care about is being warm. I pay less attention to what is underneath my coat and hat, and just try to be as warm as possible. However in the fall, there's just enough breeze and sunshine in a perfect harmony that I can wear layers and be comfortable!

Some of my favorite things to do in the fall consist of:

- Making everything smell like pumpkin spice.
- Drinking pumpkin spice lattes and toasted graham lattes from Starbucks.
- Wearing boots and booties.
- Watching the leaves change colors.
- Decorating my house with lots of fall flavor and style.
- Go to the pumpkin patch.
- Wear leggings like...everyday.
- Wearing big floppy hats and shift dresses.

There's so many other things I could list, but you would be reading all day and I promise when I sat down to write this, it was not supposed to be this long! I do want to know in the comments what your favorite parts of fall are! What do you do during this amazing season?

Oh and P.S., I'm finally sharing the deets from this super cute outfit I wore in NYC! Have you guys ever shopped at Lizard Thicket? This dress was my first purchase from there, but I promise it won't be my last! SO MUCH CUTENESS! I got my hat from Charming Charlie and if you're looking for floppy hats for fall, they have a HUGE selection of different colors. I'd hurry though, they tend to sell out quickly!

Hey beauties!

I'm super excited because today I am partnering with LivingTN to talk about how I'm living in Tennessee and mainly in my city, NASHVILLE! I will be touching on how much I love being born & raised in this beautiful city. So let's get right on to it y'all!

So as previously mentioned, I was born & raised in the great city of Nashville, TN. I was born at Baptist Hospital, which is now called St. Thomas, and FUN FACT: I actually have a star on the wall there with my name on it from when I was born! So, if you have a child at St. Thomas, make sure to look for my star in the hallway. I think it's green. :)

I grew up with pretty much my whole maternal side of the family and I loved it. They all live in different parts of Nashville, but I grew up in North Nashville. Because my entire family pretty much lived in Nashville my entire childhood, I grew up extremely close to everyone. One of my most favorite things to do as a kid was hang out with my family either at home while we grill BBQ, or out and about at either Centennial Park, the many different malls we have, or an old Nashville staple called Opryland. SO MANY MEMORIES! My cousins and I also hung out in Green Hills at a place called Fun Scape. Gosh, I have such fond memories there I wish it still existed! Think of Chuckie Cheese, but for older kids.

When it was time to go to college, I knew I wanted to go away to get that experience, but I also knew I didn't want to go too far because I would miss my family too much. I ultimately decided to attended The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Big Orange Country (GO VOLS!), but after my four years of college, I decided to branch out and move to Houston, TX. Don't get me wrong, Houston was great, but I was just missing my little Nashville so much, and my husband wasn't the biggest Houston fan, so we packed up and moved on back to Nashville after only one year in Houston.

It's crazy because I didn't think it was possible to love Nashville any more than I already did, but I feel like once when I moved away and then came back, the city grew SO MUCH in that short amount of time I was gone! I mean seriously, I almost felt like I needed to be a tourist in my own home town to make sure I knew where all the hot spots were!

Anyway, some of my favorite things to do in the Nashville area include EATING! Seriously, I eat all the time and so it's only right that I start with brunch. I like to go to brunch in The Gulch and other Nashville areas. My favorite brunch spots are Saint Anejo and Hot Chicks and let me tell you, they BOTH have bomb hot chicken and waffles! I also love to eat at Bricktops on West End, Whiskey Kitchen in the Gulch, and The Pharmacy in South Nashville! I could go on and on about the places I love to eat, but I'm getting really hungry so let's move on!

Other than eating, as many of you already know, I love SHOPPING and let me tell you, Nashville has some amazing boutiques and hidden gems. I currently live in Hendersonville, TN, which is about 20 minutes outside of Nashville, so I frequently shop at Loxley Boutique in Hendersonville. They have super cute stuff! I also like to shop at Blush Boutique in The Gulch, Lizard Thicket (there's a few of these in the Nashville area), UAL on West End, and many more! I generally like to shop wherever I can find a good deal, so my options are limitless.

So in addition to all of the amazing food Nashville has to offer, there's so much beautiful murals and art work popping up everywhere, which I believe puts us on the map for great tourist spots. People from all over are coming to Nashville and leaving their mark in a major way. It's so cool because a lot of them leave a way to connect through social media as well, so you can see what type of impact has been made later. I love them and I take a picture in front of one whenever I can!

Well, I really could talk about my love of Nashville all day long, but I think I should probably stop now. There's so much love, history, and memories jam packed into my 25 years of life in this amazing city. Nashville runs through my veins and I don't know what they next few years will have in store for me, but I promise you it'll be so hard to leave this place if that opportunity ever presents itself again. You can read more about Nashville and how I'm #LivingTN here, here, and here and there's Nashville love running all around on my Instagram page @throughjamseyes.

Tell me about your city! There's so many places I still have never visited, but I want to, so I'm interested to know about your favorite spots in your own city. Tell me how YOU'RE living in the comments below. :)

Thanks so much for reading! xo

Ahh.. New York City.

I don't think I can really put into words how I feel about New York City, but I'm going to try in this post. My feelings are kind of contradictory. I have a love/hate relationship with the city and the same things I love, I somehow also hate. You know how that goes! There's so much love there, but there's pretty much equally as much hate. I'll try to explain. I love how everyone always seems like they have somewhere important to go. I like imagining what each person's day is like. I respect the fashion freedom that New York brings. The spirit in the air inspires me to be a better me. Every time I'm in the city, I feel like I'm completely limitless. I feel like anything I want to do, I can do and I lose all insecurities and I'm just... fearless.

Dear Young Ten Year Old Jam,

Hey sweet girl. Has anyone told you today how awesome you are? You're pretty awesome for a 5th grader. You're smart, beautiful, and so full of life. You have such a giving, selfless spirit that radiates from that smile of yours. You have some of the best friends, you're involved in a great dance studio, and your family loves you so much. You have so many amazing things going on in your life. God has blessed you tremendously. So why are you so sad?

Man, I have had a SUPER busy last few days. I've done a lot of traveling and made lots of memories, but I can't lie and say it doesn't feel great to be back home.

I'm super excited about today's post because I'm telling you ALL about this BEAUTIFUL wood watch from JORD or woodwatches.com! When I first saw it online, I immediately thought it was super stunning and I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. Now after actually receiving it, I'm even more in love with it than before!

Haaaaapppyyyy Friday!

This edition of 'Friday Favorites' is all about the above Sole Society 'Thalia' Crossbody! OMG is it not BEAUTIFUL?! Seriously, I'm so obsessed it's not even funny. I first saw this beauty during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in the wine color, and I bought it! However, to my disappointment, I got that dreadful email stating they could not fulfill my order because it had sold out. Ladies, I don't think there are many emails worse than that! I found myself continuously checking back on the site to see if it was back in stock and unfortunately, it never came back in stock. That is, until AFTER the Anniversary sale was over!
