Proven Tips For Increasing Your Blog Traffic

A few weeks ago, I celebrated my five year anniversary of this beautiful blog space, Through Jam's Eyes and I honestly cannot believe it has been five years since I started! I have enjoyed every single moment, but I still have so much to learn. One of the main things I am focusing on this year is driving more traffic here. It is definitely a work in progress! If you have been following me on Twitter, then you would know that I have been participating in a 30 day challenge to learn key strategies to increase my blog traffic from the book Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers by Russell Brunson. I was so interested in this challenge because I wanted to see if it could teach me some things about blog traffic that I didn't already know and boy, was I right!

Honestly the biggest problem that most entrepreneurs/bloggers have isn’t creating an amazing website, but it’s getting their future viewers to discover that they even exist. Traffic Secrets has so many gems to get you where you need to be if you follow the challenges each day to a tee. Although I am finished with the challenge now, I definitely feel that in order to get real results, I will need to go back through and do each challenge again and again.

If you aren't familiar with Russell Brunson, the author of this book, he started his first company back in college and became very successful before he even graduated! He has so much knowledge on marketing, selling, and proper delivery, I knew I had to get my hands on Traffic Secrets! In this new book, Russell Brunson reveals the classic and foundational direct marketing techniques that will allow you to be at the front of new trends and see opportunities that are invisible to everyone else. Russell shares how to master evergreen traffic strategies in order to fill your website and funnels with your dream customers. As someone who started my blog five years ago with zero business knowledge, I honestly could use any help I could get in this area so I was all for this challenge!

The top three things that stood out to me the most in the Traffic Secrets 30 Day Challenge were:

1) You HAVE to know who your dream customer/reader is. Picture this person in your mind when creating! A huge mistake we make is focusing too much on what we want whether than trying to fulfill the need of our dream customer.

2) DREAM 100 LIST -- Create one! What that means is go where your dream customer goes. Do they like YouTube? Tik Tok? Instagram? Do they listen to podcasts? If so, what kind? Russell Brunson speaks about the fact that we don't create traffic, but we just have to find it and redirect it. That makes SO much sense!

3) Try New Things to Create New Opportunities! Step out of your comfort zone to see what works and what doesn't! I have been trying this and I am so happy with the results I have been getting. I can't wait to keep it up!

If you haven't already, be sure to check out my Twiiter to see my updates throughout the 30 day challenge and be sure to pick up a copy of this book!
