Easy Crock-Pot Salsa Chicken Recipe

Hello Friends!

I'm so excited to be sharing this super easy crock-pot recipe with you guys today! One of the reasons I'm excited is because I have not always been someone who cooked for fun. Cooking used to feel like SUCH a chore to me and I never used to cook at all. Trust me, my husband did not marry me for my kitchen skills, haha! However, within the last two years, I've grown quite fond of cooking. I still haven't got to the point where I want to do it every day or anything like that, but I do get the urge to cook every now and then. When I do get the urge to cook, I'm always experimenting with meals that are delicious, but easy to make! So, today I want to share one of my favorite recipes with you guys that is SO easy! If you are someone who is new to cooking or have a hard time around the kitchen, this is especially good for you! You can surprise your significant other, family, or friends with this super delicious recipe that is so easy, but packs so much flavor.

So not only is this recipe super easy to make, but it only requires three ingredients. All you need is boneless chicken breasts, taco seasoning, and salsa. Sidebar, my Mom introduced me to crock-pot liners long before I started cooking regularly and now more than ever I appreciate them! It makes cleaning up such a breeze. If you want to purchase some, click here to get a pack for only $6. Okay, so back to the recipe! I love this recipe because, like most crock-pot recipes, it's like the most effortless meal ever. You literally just place all of the ingredients in the crock-pot, turn it on, and come back hours later to a fully cooked meal. How easy is that?!

You can either cook the chicken on low for 5 hours, or on high for 3 hours and I've prepared this meal both ways and it was delicious and juicy! Once the chicken is done, you can either shred it right in the crock-pot to keep it in the delicious juices, or you can put them in a bowl and shred them. Also, you can eat this chicken without shredding it! We have done that with a side of rice and broccoli and it was divine. Other meal ideas for this chicken would be rice bowls, chicken tacos, over a salad, in a lettuce wrap, or on a sandwich. Honestly, your options are endless.

So that's it! I hope you and your family will enjoy this chicken as much as we do! If you try it, I'd love for you to let me know how you enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for reading! xo

  2. Do you feel like this meal is overly "runny" when you get it out of the slow cooker? I've had an issue with that the past few times I've tried Crock-Pot meals, and I've been disappointed. But they're also SO easy that I don't want to give up yet haha!
