LET IT OUT






Lately, I've been feeling slightly overwhelmed. I have so many different things going on around me and I really want to do it all, but it is hard y'all! Have you guys been there? You have a a billion things going on at once and you're trying to figure out how to handle it all when it is all equally important to you. Maybe it is school, work, personal, relationships, etc. you name it sometimes we get too caught up and forget to b r e a t h e.


Over the last few months, I had to find a way that worked for me in order to get my life together and in order to get my life together, I need to LET IT ALL OUT. You should know when you've reached the point of needing to get it all out. For me, I just start feeling negative and defeated. The whole world is against me and wants me to completely fall on my face because it's just too much for one person to handle. Resonate with any of you? I hope so because I really wanted to write this post to help you guys feel less anxiety and way more peace of mind.

So how can you let it all out? You literally let it out! Haha no but seriously, grab that pen and paper or the notes in your iPhone, and just WRITE. Get every little thing that is consuming your mind down on paper and keep writing until your hand cramps up. I'm super guilty of this, but the worst thing we can do when we are feeling overwhelmed and stressed is to procrastinate. I know I can easily say you know what? I am over this.. I'm just not going to do it! I know that is the wrong attitude to have because ultimately I end up feeling more stressed because then I'm behind. *long sigh*

For me, the moment I feel like I need a writing venting session is when I have a lot of projects at work, family drama, friend drama, health problems, etc. These things can vary for each person depending on your life and daily activities. This is really important guys because being stressed can cause chest tightening (it has happened to me), illness (immune system is weaker when you're exhausted and stressed), and just anxiety all together! I don't want any of you to go through these things so here's how you can effectively let it all out girl!

1. Sit Down (Yes, do NOT stand doing this.. relax sis, you need it)
2. Write or type everything you have built up in your mind. It doesn't have to make sense to anyone but you because no one else will see it.
3. Walk Away and do something fun to take your mind off of that long list you just created.
4. Come back to it and slowly determine how you will tackle each item, whether you can do it alone or need help (it's okay to ask for help), organize by importance to YOU.

That's it guys. It's a really simple concept that produces amazing results. Trust me, I can attest to this method talking me off many cliffs! How do you get through stressful situations? Have you "let it out" before?

  5. That's a great reminder! I used to do something like this when I was younger, but haven't done that in a long time! It definitely helps. Also, you look lovely in this outfit!
