Vegas Recap | Tips For the Ultimate Vegas Vacay

Hey lovelies!

I can't believe it has already been like two weeks since we took our trip to Las Vegas for New Year's. I had been to Vegas twice before this trip; once when I was twelve and another time when I turned 21. However, I would have to say this was the first time I got the full Vegas experience and I had the time of my life.

As most of you know, Vegas is a tourist city and honestly, there is literally a million things to do every where you go. Every hotel has at least 6 restaurants in it, most of them have full blown malls right inside the hotel, you can see shows at almost all of them, and some even have rides and different activities you can do. It's pretty insane, but I loved it. My husband and I went there with three other couples and I think it's safe to say we all had an amazing time.

I wanted to give you guys some tips and recommendations from our trip of some things you should definitely do, and places you should definitely check out. Also, I want to say that planning ahead is key. If you book pretty much everything you'd like to do before you go, then you'll have more spending money while you're there and you don't have to worry about the things you want to do being sold out on the days you want to go. Pre-planning helped to make this trip amazing.

FOOD

Pretty much every single place we ate in Las Vegas was amazing, however, I want to point out my two favorite places from the trip right now.

"Hash House A Go Go"

Y'all.. when I tell you that this was the BEST chicken and waffles I have EVER had, it's an understatement. First of all, the meal is larger than life. My husband and I could have easily shared because I didn't even touch one of the chicken breasts let alone get anywhere with the waffles. Oh my goodness though, it was so good. You know the best part?! They had BACON INSIDE of the waffles! YES child, YES! I couldn't believe it myself, but it was amazing. Definitely make sure to hit up this place for brunch while you're in Vegas. I don't remember which location we went to, but I'm sure they are all equally great.

"Top of the World Restaurant"

I have to say that this was one of the best experiences we had while there. The ambiance of this restaurant made it a MUST while visiting Vegas. You dine on the 106th floor of the Stratosphere hotel and the floor actually spins slowly as you eat, giving you a 360 view of the whole city. I highly recommend this for dinner because the views are spectacular. We had an amazing waitress who knew the menu backwards and forwards and the food was very good as well. I would definitely go back here again. Oh, and if you're lucky, you'll see people free-falling out of the window from the floor above. It's pretty cool!

NIGHT LIFE

We were in Vegas during New Year's, so things may be a little different on a random night, however, I will tell you about the places we went.. or as much as I can remember.

The top two photos are from New Year's Eve and we went to a nightclub in The Venetian Hotel called Tao. We had an amazing time there! The club is huge which surprised us because from the outside looking in, it doesn't look that big. There's at least three floors with multiple rooms, bars, and dance floors. If you're ever in that area, make sure to check it out! I'm curious how it is on a regular night.

The last two photos are from another night out. This night was super fun because we got a party bus and the bus took us to I think three or four different clubs, including a strip club. Most of the fun we had was on the bus honestly, but once we got inside the clubs, it was pretty fun too. I wish I remembered the names of the clubs the bus took us to, but I don't. Sorry guys! Anyway, if you're ever in Vegas, I think the party bus is a smart route to take because you get to see so much in a short amount of time. The bus DJ had us dancing all night and they provided drinks on the bus as well! WHAT, FREE DRINKS?! Yep! :) Sorry I don't have any pictures from inside the bus, but if you follow my Snapchat (jamzxvi), you should have seen some videos of it while we were there.

ENTERTAINMENT

Michael Jackson ONE

We went to see the Michael Jackson ONE Show. I can't even put into words how amazing it was! I could go see it a million more times and still be into it like I was the first time. Cirque Du Soliel has never disappointed me and this show was no different. All of the performers were super talented coming from the aisles, the sky, climbing walls, it was great! The tickets can be a little pricey, but I promise you won't regret it. This is where planning ahead comes in handy!

SlotZilla

We went zip-lining at SlotZilla, which is on Fremont Street and that is kind of considered "Old Vegas" or downtown Vegas. It was SO MUCH FUN if you can't tell from my face! They have two levels and two price points. The lower level doesn't go as far and you sit in it like a regular zip-line. The higher level goes the entire way across and you fly like an eagle haha. I wish we could have done it again even though I was so scared before going!

There's really so much more we did including a magic show and shopping, but I don't want this post to go on forever! If anyone has any specific questions about anything, feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to answer. We had a blast in Vegas and I'll definitely go back again, just in about 5 years or so! :)

Here's a few more pictures from our trip!
