It's Nashville Hot Chicken Week

Okay so excuse me as I drool while I write this post, but it is just making me TOO hungry!
I'm not sure if you all were aware, but it is Nashville Hot Chicken Week and I wish I had time to go to all of the hot chicken spots in Nashville. For those of you who do not know, Nashville is not only known for some of the best music, but the BEST hot chicken! Years ago, it was a rather small space with only a few places making and selling out of the glorious hot chicken. However, as Nashville grew, so did the city's love for this chicken and now you can't hardly go to a restaurant without seeing hot chicken on the menu. It's amazing!

Because there are so many places that sell this juicy goodness, it's hard to decide which restaurant to go to, so I thought I would take this time to share with you some of my favorite places in the city for hot chicken, and some places I have yet to try, but can't wait to try them! Now, all of these places may not be participating in the official "Nashville Hot Chicken Week", but they are my favorites, so I'm sharing them anyway!

Hot Chicks

The pictures I have above are from Hot Chicks and I LOVE their hot chicken! They have different temperatures you can try, but I usually always play it pretty safe and get more of a milder hot. I love this place because not only is it hot chicken, but the flavor is so amazing. They have hot chicken and waffles, plus just regular hot chicken you can order. Go check them out right off of West End Ave.

Saint Anejo

Now, this is another hot chicken and waffles dish you MUST try. You can only get it during their brunch hours, but I promise you the long hour wait is so worth it! This chicken has a kick, but a flavor that is unmatched and they have flavored syrup too y'all! It is delicious and it has actually been way too long since the last time I've been there! Find this cozy spot nestled in the Gulch!

Prince's Hot Chicken

Okay, believe it or not guys.. I've lived in Nashville pretty much my entire life and I had Prince's for the first time maybe two years ago! I KNOW! What took me so long right?! Now you want to visit Prince's when you're REALLY ready for some hot, juicy, sweating, finger-licking good stuff! Prince's will have your eyes watering, but you won't be able to stop eating it because it is just THAT darn good. Prince's has different levels of hot as well and if I were you, if it's your first time, don't try to be big and bad because I'm telling you it can get really hot! Prince's now has two locations so visit their website for hours and to see which location is closest to you.

Hattie B's

Now this is one I still have yet to try. My husband and I attempted to eat there one Sunday afternoon, but didn't realize they closed at 4pm and we literally got there at like 4:15pm. I was so hurt! We haven't had a chance to make it back that way since then. However, I've heard many great things about this place. Everyone says the chicken is very flavorful and hot! I am hoping to get over there very soon.

So there you have it! Some of the top spots in the city. Again, there are SO MANY places I've never been, mainly because when I find something I like, I usually stick to it.
