Take Me Back | Renaissance Carambola St. Croix, Virgin Islands

It is so hard to believe that just last week, I was on a tropical island vacation with my better half. Laying out on the beach, Pina Colada in hand, no worries at all. We honestly could not have picked a better resort to celebrate our one year anniversary. We chose to stay at the Renaissance Carambola Resort and it was absolutely beautiful, fully equipped with their own private beach!

So let me tell you guys a little bit about this amazing place. First, let me just tell you that this resort is about 30 minutes from the airport and it is in a pretty secluded location. You have to drive up many steep hills and go around some crazy corners in order to get there, but once you're there, oh my gosh the views are breath-taking and the resort has everything! My husband and I considered renting a car while we were there, but once we realized that they drive on the opposite side of the road, we changed our minds really quick! Those steep hills were scary and people there drive fast! Maybe next trip we will try driving.

Anyway,  back to the Renaissance. I have zero complaints about this resort! One of the main reasons I booked it was because pretty much all of the reviews said it would be perfect for couples. After staying there, I 100% agree, however, I can let you guys know that it is not just for couples. It is kid friendly and there were also a few weddings that took place while we were there as well, which included the whole family. One of the highlights for me was the hospitality! Everyone who worked there was so welcoming and friendly and available for literally any and everything you may need. We were greeted with rum punch as soon as we walked in! It was awesome. There's so much to do on the private beach at Carambola, but if you stay there, you'll just have to leave the resort for most of the activities outside of snorkeling, diving, and resort things, which we did not have a problem with.

Now, at the resort, there are two restaurants. We only ate at one of them during our time there and we literally ate almost everything on the menu and everything was pretty good! On certain days, one of the restaurants hosts like some type of pirate night which would have been cool to see, but I think it was on Fridays and we weren't there. There's a spa, a gift shop, snorkeling and diving, and many other things the resort offers. You literally do not need anything else, but knowing that St. Croix offers other things and the staff at Carambola will help you get where you want to go, is great too.

All of the rooms are like bungalow styled suites which I loved! They had a living room, kitchen, two-sink bathroom with standing shower, a massive king-sized bed, and a balcony looking out toward the ocean. I loved everything! Marcus and I both agreed that we want to go back next year. If you've never been, I highly recommend you go and stay at the Renaissance Carambola! I'm going to share some pictures of the resort below for you to see, but trust me, the pictures do it no justice. Enjoy! :)

My husband refused to move so I could snap a picture haha :)

Aren't these lamps so cute?! I wanted to keep one.
