Happy Birthday To Me | 5 Things I Should Have By 25

WOW! It's my 24th birthday! Seriously, where did the time go? This time next year, my 20's will be half way over! I'm not sure how I feel about that!

I know every birthday is important, but after one milestone birthday you can't help but to think about the next one. I mean, once I turned 16, all I could think about was turning 18. Then when I turned 18, all I could think about was turning 21. So now, just turning 24, it's exciting and I feel blessed that God gave me another year of life, but I can't help but to wonder where I'll be at 25. I've been thinking about what I want to have accomplished by 25 and you know, things I feel I should have. I don't know if it'll all happen, but anything is possible, so I can try! Right?! I have a whole year now to make it happen so there's no more excuses.

So, here's my list of "5 Things I Should Have By 25":

1. An Exercise Regimen - I am a "semi-retired" dancer. Not necessarily by choice, but by life and timing. I would love to get back into it, but I also know with my type of schedule right now, it will be extremely hard to do. So, I need to develop an exercise regimen that fits in with my life. I need to stick with it. Whether it's running (yeah right) or yoga in my living room or even a Zumba class once a week, I need to plan to do it and then actually do it.

2. A Passport - This one is WAY over due! I have never been outside of the U.S., and quite frankly, I'm ready to get out of here! I don't know why I keep putting it off, but I'm going to make it happen this year. Besides, I always say I've never been outside of the U.S. and I will never go if I don't get a passport!

3. A Reading List - After college, I just stopped reading books, and that's a problem! I've always loved a good book and I should never stop learning so I need to get back to it. Once I visited the idea of starting a book club with my friends, so I may try that again! We can hold each other accountable.

4. A Long-Lasting, Stylish, Inter-mixable Wardrobe - Everyone knows I'm a shopaholic, but it's time to stop impulse buying and save for those key pieces that every woman should have in her wardrobe. I believe we all should have a nice pair of black/nude pumps, jeans that make you feel the sexiest, a classic LBD, and a brown or black go-to purse.

5. At Least 3-5 Classic Recipes - Okay, so I don't cook. Like ever (my husband complains all the time about this one). I just don't enjoy it, plus with my crazy work schedule I just never feel like it. However, I do want to be that wholesome wife that cooks for her husband at least every now and then. So, by the age of 25, I need to have a couple recipes under my belt that are easy to cook, but still tasty and impressive!

So what do you guys think?! I know everyone is different, but I encourage you guys to think about some things you want to achieve by your 25th birthday or, your next milestone birthday! Setting a deadline for yourself creates that good kind of pressure that we all need sometimes. I would love to hear about some of your goals! :)
