How you choose to start your morning will be a strong indicator of how the rest of your day will go. We all know how it goes; you wake up at the last minute, dart out of bed, barely get the sleep out of your eyes before you have to get your day started. That is the WORST way to start your day because now everything you do after that will feel rushed and it'll put you in a bad mood. Who wants that?!

 

That is why it is so very important to ensure that you start your day in the best possible way. When I started being intentional about my morning routine, it was like the stars aligned and everything in my day became better! It's all about developing the most perfect routine. So today, I am here to share with you 4 tips to start your day the right way.

 

4 Tips to Start Your Day the Right Way

 

1. Wake Up a Little Earlier Than You Usually Would

When I started waking up 45, even 30 minutes before I truly needed to be up, it made my mornings go so much smoother. Why? Because I was able to lay in bed and actually gradually wake up instead of just jumping up in a hurry. I get to wake up on my own terms and I feel so good when I do that.

 

2. Make Your Bed

I didn't used to think that making your bed every morning was a big deal, but when I started doing it consistently, I realized that when I make my bed, it feels better when I get in it at the end of the day. There is something about making your bed that automatically makes your space look cleaner and more neat, and so in turn, it makes you feel happier!

3. Eat Breakfast

You guys.. eat something in the morning! Your body will thank you later! You don't have to eat a huge meal, but something quick like fruit or cereal will definitely do the trick! Two of my favorite things to do in the morning is listen to gospel music and/or listen to one of my favorite podcasts. Whichever I am in the mood for on any particular day, automatically gives me a mood booster! Find that thing that makes you the happiest and do it early in the morning and your day will be started off awesome!

 

So there you have it! I don't know about you guys, but this post just made me want some of that Post Dunkin' cereal! I just can't get over how delicious it is! As soon as you open the box, the scent of Dunkin' will smack you like sweet delight and you will probably want bowl after bowl. These new cereals contain very small amounts of caffeine, roughly a 10th of a cup of coffee, so all can indulge in this experience!
