It has been such a whirlwind the last few months. With the effects of COVID 19 forcing us all to practice social distancing, I believe we have all become more acquainted with our homes, our house mates, and the most important thing, our refrigerators! Haha! It has been really hard to eat balanced meals at the expected times of the day every day. I’ve been eating way more than normal and let me just tell you, I do not have a balanced diet. I never have! I love to eat junk food throughout the day and most days, I may only eat one real meal. Because this habit has been magnified due to all of my extra time at home, I knew that I needed to get a hold of myself. That’s why when I had the opportunity to grab an advanced copy of Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion, I was so thrilled and couldn’t wait to jump right in! I can’t wait to share my experience of the book with you guys over the next month! I hope to establish better habits that work for me and my lifestyle, as well as discover some amazing benefits! Right off the bat I will tell you that the Always Eat After 7pm plan consists of three parts; 1) The 14-day Acceleration Phase, which kicks off the program, 2) The Main Phase, where you will learn exactly what foods you’re supposed to eat when in order to achieve your weight loss goals, and 3) The Lifestyle Phase, which teaches you what to do to maintain your new weight loss.
You guys, I am super excited to dive deeper into this! First of all, I’m sure most of you (just like me) have been told majority of your life that eating after 7pm is horrible for you! Different people would always say “eating late and going to sleep will make that food sit right at the pit of your stomach”, and I believed it! However, Joel answers this question right away in this book by saying, “Research shows that the average person’s metabolic rate is no different during sleep than during the day. In short, your metabolism doesn’t slow down at night. Nor does your body store fat at the end of the day. Whether it’s 8 am or 8 pm, you use food for energy the same way.” Talk about MIND BLOWN! Not to mention, his results are amazing. Joel did lots of intentional research and then finally put his theories to the test. After just two weeks, he lost 12lbs and then continued to lose weight days after that. The best thing: his energy levels skyrocketed! That’s what I need and what I want. I’m so tired of being sluggish and tired all the time. It’s time for a change. Stay tuned, because I will have an update next week!
