Summer Days Swiftly Pass | Yellow Maxi Romper

Maxi Romper: Lulu's | Shoes: Lulu's | Purse: Louis Vuitton

I am so happy that in certain moments, it's finally beginning to feel like Fall around here! This past weekend, I went and bought some decorations for the house and some new Fall scents. I'm always excited for Fall, but I think this year more-so than ever just because I'm ready for a new season. My summer wasn't the best to be completely honest and I feel bad saying that because it sounds like I'm complaining and I'm really trying to work on that.. but I'm all about being transparent here on TJE, so I have to tell the truth. My summer 2017 wasn't the best and I'm ready for it to be over.

Don't get me wrong, I had SO MANY amazing things happen this summer! My birthday was in June, I spent a lot of time with my older sister, and at the beginning of the summer, my husband and I bought our first home! Needless to say, I am so blessed and that further explains why I feel bad wishing the summer off. I feel like my summer was stolen from me because my job at the time shipped me off to Illinois and I ended up being there from May until the end of August. I went through so much emotionally during that time and my summer kind of flashed before my eyes. I was only home on the weekends and some weekends were limited to just one day.

Anyway, I don't want to dwell on this subject because if you're a true follower of TJE (I love y'all), then you already knew I spent my summer in Illinois, but I did want to touch on why I'm so anxious to get into Fall. It feels like it'll be a new chapter for me! Honestly, my new chapter has already started because I feel so refreshed following God's plan for me. With every new season comes a new opportunity to start over so if you're like me and you need a fresh start, use this new season to do so! Take a leap of faith, do something you've been wanting to do, let go of dead weight, whatever you need to do. You'll be glad you did. :)
