How to Style a Denim Dress

I'm obsessed with denim dresses because they can pretty much transition into any season. Denim will probably NEVER go out of style either and I love investing in pieces that will still be cute a couple years from now. Sometimes it's hard to find a balance between what's trending and what's a closet staple. I truly believe we should invest in both, but mainly the staples that can be styled in many different ways.. like the denim dress!

When I received this dress from Velvet Heart I was so excited because it is truly my style and I could see SO MANY style possibilities! I love that all of Velvet Heart's clothing is soft to the touch and super durable. I wore this dress on a hot afternoon around the city that turned into a humid rainy night (Nashville weather y'all) and I didn't feel sticky or hot or uncomfortable, so I'd say it is definitely functional for all seasons! On this particular day, I chose to pair it with my brown gladiator sandals, gold accessories, and my Cult Gaia bag.

Like I said before, there are SO MANY cool ways to style denim. Here's some other ways I can see myself styling this dress into the upcoming seasons:

1. Paired with a cardigan, scarf and booties

2. Worn as a long tunic with leggings and animal print flats.

3. Tights, boots, and scarf

4. Moto jacket and OTK boots

I'm pretty sure I could come up with a handful of other ways to style this dress, but I think you get the point! As we transition into this Fall season, I encourage you all to get some staple items in your wardrobe. Fall is all about layers! When you buy some staple layering pieces, the outfit possibilities are endless.
