A Day of Beauty Recap

Heeeey everyone! Happy Monday!

I had an AMAZING weekend and I hope you all did too. If you follow my snapchat (jamzxvi), then you know T his past Saturday was the "A Day of Beauty" Event that was put on by Dollar General and Beauty Cents Magazine here in Nashville, TN at the Music City Center. I had the BEST time & I wish it was coming back this weekend too! I was chosen to be one of the beauty influencers for the event, which means I was able to mingle with all the guests plus have an inside look at some of Dollar General's best beauty products that they carry, as well as some others that haven't even hit the shelves yet! It was a great day so today, I'm going to tell you all about it.

So the day started out at the Hilton Downtown Nashville at a brunch that was held for all the beauty influencers/bloggers and vendors for the event. When I tell you guys that the aura in the room was so amazing! Everyone was beautiful and and so welcoming! I met some amazing bloggers and vloggers and everyone was so sweet and we all instantly clicked. It's something about hanging around other women who share the same passion as you and they just understand your day to day. I could literally hang around those women every single day!

Aren't they all beautiful?!
After brunch, we headed over to the event at the Music City Center and we were able to talk to the vendors one on one about their amazing products. Y'all, I have SO MUCH STUFF that I can't wait to share with you all! I will probably be washing my hair like every other day just to try out all of the amazing shampoos, conditioners, co-washes, edge controls, etc. I'm going to do a special post just highlighting all of my favorite products I received, so stay tuned for that.

This was my first year attending the "Day of Beauty" event, and it was the second annual event, so it is still pretty new. However, the turn out was CRAZY! There were so many beautiful people out there expressing their love for beauty and learning great tips. I know next year it is going to be even bigger. They had a panel discussion featuring the amazing Kim Kimble, and Keke Wyatt performed. I truly believe it was a very well thought out event and I really feel honored that I was a part of it.

Saturday was just filled with so much love and passionate, hard-working individuals. It was a reminder of why I love blogging. Being a blogger, you HAVE to be passionate about what you do. You have to have self-confidence and the ability to have thick skin. You have to open and honest about yourself and your life in order to fully connect with readers. Blogging gives me the opportunity to be open. It is therapeutic for me to share what's on my mind with you guys and to have such awesome feedback as well.

Even though I have only been blogging for a year, I feel like I have grown so much as an individual. I have so much more self-confidence and I feel fulfilled when I am sharing pictures and posts with you guys. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love! :) Here's some pictures from the event on Saturday.

Thank you so much for reading! XOXO
