25 Things I've Learned in 25 Years

Happy Monday beauties! What an AMAZING weekend I just had! My 25th birthday weekend was seriously one for the books. I want to thank you all for all of the birthday wishes, it really meant so much to me. I also want to thank those of you who participated in my 'Random Acts of Kindness' challenge all week! I hope it made you feel as great as it made me feel. I'm definitely going to keep the party going because being selfless and helping others makes me feel really good. I encourage you all to do the same! :)

As I reflect on being alive the last 25 years, I would like to think I have accumulated a lot of knowledge along the way. Below I have decided to share 25 life lessons I've learned throughout my life thus far. We all write our own life stories so my story might not be yours, but I do hope I can offer some words of wisdom or motivation that may help you in some capacity. I am also going to keep each lesson I've learned short and sweet to allow you all to ponder on each thing and create your own understanding. So in no particular order, here we go....

1. You don't need a title to be a leader.
2. Shut up more often. But also...
3. Speak up more often.
4. Give more than you take.
5. Value genuine relationships.
6. Always hustle for what you want.
7. Lying causes stress. Telling the truth relieves stress.
8. Forgive, but just don't forget.
9. Doing the right thing isn't always easy, but you should still do it.
10. Friends come and go. Let it happen, naturally.
11. Never give up.
12. Family is important.
13. Don't wear lipstick on a windy day with your hair down with...a white shirt on.
14. Be selective on who you trust with your heart, your secrets, and your time.
15. Eating a bunch of junk food in one sitting is a bad idea.
16. Don't mix brown and clear alcohol.
17. You should always choose happiness.
18. Don't forget to count your blessings.
19. Learn from your mistakes and don't make the same ones.
20. Brush your teeth every night.
21. It's okay to ask for help.
22. Drink water every day.
23. Get enough sleep at night.
24. If you love someone, tell them.
25. Never forget where you came from.

I could go on and on and on with this list because as I was writing, I kept thinking of more lessons and changing around, but I'll stop now. For my readers who have turned 25 this year or will be turning 25, what are some things you've learned? Please share in the comments below!

Thanks for reading guys! XOXO
