Monroe's First Birthday Party

My baby girl's first birthday party was truly a labor of love and a DREAM. I had so much fun planning and putting this party together and I would do it all over again if I could!

The theme of Monroe's First Birthday Party was "Moni's World" because you know, it's her world and we are just living in it! We truly had an amazing time. I thought about hiring a party planner, but each detail of this party was so special to me, I just had to do it myself. Honestly, it was a lot of work and hiring a planner would have relieved some unnecessary stress for sure, but I wouldn't trade doing it myself for the world. I appreciate my tribe that came together to help the day of! Everything turned out so beautifully! Stay tuned to the end of the post for the list of vendors used.

If you have read My Birth Story, then you know the obstacles we faced getting Monroe here and how blessed we are that she is healthy and doing so well. Because of my long bed rest, we weren't able to have a traditional baby shower or plan for her like most new Mother's do. We literally built her nursery when she was around 2 and a half months old after she came home from NICU. Nothing was traditional about her birth or newborn stage, but we are so grateful for her health and she is truly the happiest baby! Because of all of that, I knew we were going to go all out for her first birthday party. I mean, it was only right! Alright, let's get into these fabulous decor photos taken by my friend Olivia from @livvieclicks!

Wasn't it dreamy?! Ugh I love every detail. Truly will never forget this day. Monroe's First Birthday party will be etched in my brain forever. When it comes to food and drinks, I wanted kid friendly options, but also options for the adults because the first birthday is TRULY for the parents after all, am I right?

Another detail I loved was the coloring station. I made some custom coloring pages to match the party theme that were on the coloring table and in the kid's party favor bags.

I can't forget the CAKE and desserts! Funny story, like I mentioned above, I did all of the planning for Monroe's First Birthday Party. So of course, it was very possible to miss something. The morning of her party, I realized I did not get her a smash cake! After a small panic, I just went to Publix and grabbed one of their famous Chantilly Cakes and she was happy, haha!

What a magical day! Here's a few more photos from the first birthday party. It was really hard to narrow this down!
